On November 2nd, Berman DeValerio’s Boston office sponsored its fourth Volunteer Day at the Greater Boston Food Bank, the largest hunger-relief organization in New England.
Twenty-five members of the firm spent the morning sorting pallets of food donations that would be used to create relief boxes for the Greater Boston Food Bank’s network of local food pantries, shelters, and other communities in need. With combined effort, the team sorted through 17,670 pounds of food, which translates into providing 11,780 meals for those in need. It takes 4,368 meals to feed a family of four for a year.
Berman DeValerio’s staff is proud to help the Greater Boston Food Bank get closer to its goal of distributing one meal a day to every person in need in eastern Massachusetts. “This is a wonderful fall tradition,” commented Boston Partner Leslie Stern. “Not only is GBFB an amazing organization, but it is truly a fun place to roll up your sleeves and do some good.”
