Berman Tabacco, a national law firm dedicated to protecting the rights of consumers and investors, is currently investigating reports of unauthorized recurring charges from Hiatus Inc. Hiatus provides a smartphone or web-based app that purports to identify and organize recurring subscriptions and assist consumers with the cancelation of unwanted subscriptions or the renegotiation of certain monthly bills. Consumers have reported being charged monthly fees by Hiatus despite never having downloaded the Hiatus App or otherwise signing up for services. Other consumers have reported difficulties canceling their Hiatus accounts.
