The Boston office of Berman Tabacco is seeking an associate with 2 to 5 years of experience in complex litigation to join our securities practice group.  Attorneys with diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Core Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the development and prosecution of securities class actions, derivative actions and individual litigation in federal and state courts across the country
  • Conduct detailed factual and legal analysis of potential and pending securities and derivative claims
  • Draft pleadings, including lead plaintiff motions, consolidated complaints and dispositive motion practice
  • Provide a supportive role in discovery

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • JD with 2-5 years’ experience in securities class action and/or derivative litigation
  • Experience with Delaware Court of Chancery preferred
  • Applicants must have exceptional research and writing skills
  • Applicants should have a strong academic background, and a demonstrated interest in the Firm’s practice areas
  • Solid time management, multitasking, initiative and communications skills are also essential to the position
  •  background in economics or finance is helpful but not required
