Karen Didrickson
Project Attorney
Karen is a project attorney in the San Francisco office of Berman Tabacco. She joined the firm 2019. Karen is committed to seeking justice on behalf of investors and consumers and has worked on a wide range of cases, including antitrust and securities litigation.
In the past, Karen has worked with a variety of plaintiff litigation firms in San Francisco and New York as part of the litigation teams on various matters. Karen also has experience as an ERISA attorney at the global human resources consulting firms Mercer and Willis Towers Watson, and the multinational accounting firm Deloitte. In addition, she was an instructor at Golden Gate University School of Law where she taught a course on employee benefits law, with an emphasis on qualified plans.
Experience
- Karen currently serves as a member of litigation team representing consumers in Oliver, et al. v. American Express Co., et al., No. 1:19-CV-00566-NGG-SMG (E.D.N.Y.). This is an antitrust class action alleging that defendant unreasonably restrained trade by increasing credit card transaction prices and raising consumer retail prices on goods and services purchased throughout the country.
- Karen is also a member of the litigation team representing Norfolk County Retirement System in Ontario Provincial Council of Carpenters’ Pension Trust Fund, et al. v. S. Robson Walton, et al., C.A. No. 2021-0827 (Del. Ch.), a derivative complaint seeking to hold Walmart’s controlling shareholders, Board of Directors, and senior management accountable for their alleged breaches of fiduciary duties to Walmart’s shareholders in connection with the company’s opioid distribution and dispensing practices.
